Mi piace affrontare nuove sfide. Amo la recitazione, molto. Ad essere onesti non sono sicuro di sapere per cosa vivo (ride). Cosa faresti se avessi un solo giorno da vivere?
Potrei dire, uscirei con le persone che amo, ma attualmente non ne ho idea. Forse sarei qualcosa di pazzo, forse camminerei per Times Square nudo.
Il film (The Rover) mostra un lato oscuro del mondo. E' strano per me. Credo che le persone lo interpreteranno come un film molto grintoso. Ma io interpreto una persona che non ha ricordi di cosa è accaduto a questo mondo. Quindi lui è abbastanza felice. Come attore non c'era un'atmosfera grintosa.
Cosa c'è di speciale nella tua relazione artistica con David Cronenberg?
Quando abbiamo girato "Cosmopolis" la mia consapevolezza è cambiata. Girerei qualsiasi film con David Cronenberg - senza esitazione, senza nemmeno leggere la sceneggiatura.
Sei ottimista sul futuro della virilità?
Penso in generale che le persone sia buone. Forse sono ignorante, ma hey, il mondo è grande.

What do you do if you have only one day to live?
I should say, I hang around with the people I love, but actually I have no idea. Maybe I would do something crazy, maybe walk around Times Square naked.
The movie [The Rover] shows a dark sight of the world. It’s weird for me. I guess, people interpret it as extremely gritty. But I play a person who has no memory of what happened to this world. Therefore he’s quite content. As an actor there wasn’t a gritty atmosphere.
What’s so special in your artistic relationship with David Cronenberg?
When we were shooting Cosmopolis “my awareness changed”. I would shoot any film with David Cronenberg – unhesitatingly, without reading the script.
Are you optimistic regarding the future of manhood?
I think in general people are good. Maybe I’m ignorant, but hey, the world is great.
