Una delle prima cose che il regista, Anton Corbjin, ha fatto dopo aver scelto Robert Pattinson è stata quella di dargli una fotocamera. Nel ruolo di Dennis Stock, fotografo della fotografia internazionale dell'ufficio stampa Magmun, la fotocamera, pensava, doveva diventare una parte del suo corpo.
